World Clock

A world clock is designed to depict the different times of many different locations within the world. Generally, the term refers to a clock which depicts all the major time zones of the world. However, some people may utilize this term for a clock which displays just a few.

There are a few different incarnations which a world clock may take. It may resemble the traditional face of a clock with many different smaller clocks adorning its face. It also may resemble a map of the world with different times listed as appropriate to a location.

Other world clock display options will make use of a 24 hour time zone ring. This may revolve around a world map. It is also possible for the map (or simply a list of locations) to represent the moving portion. This design may commonly be used as a large scale sculptural installation.
